Lottery Grants

Dear Derek,
Sport England's Awards for All, Lottery Grants for Local Groups is probably
the best way a club can gain funding. The Herts Junior County Committee have
recently submitted an application. A club will need a constitution and a
bank account and preferably have an annual income of under £15,000. However
a club could get round this by setting up a junior committee for example.
Priority areas for funding are Young People, Ethnic Minorities, Women and
Girls and Disabilities. I can send you a pack and a self help pack for
squash applications, however the best thing to do is click here for AwardsForAll
or SportEngland
If any club wishes to apply for an Awards for All grant to help them achieve
England Squash Club Charter Status then I am available to go visit and help
a club submit an application. For example, a club wishing to develop or
establish a junior section a club could apply for funding for coach
education, coaches fee's, equipment and court fees.
Local authorities can also some times offer grants for Coach Education and
talented juniors etc, but you would have to contact the sports development
sections of each local authority to find out if they offer this service.
I hope this is helpful. If you need more information then please let me
know.
