Herts County Junior Committee
Meeting 4/6/07
Present: Ray Waller, Ron Worrell, Ron Palmer, Dudley Fuller, Adam
Fuller, Chris Thomas, Julian Craxton.
Apologies: Dave Richards, Simon Andrews, Janet.
Finance: £5954.66p. Having just received £5000 from Awards for All
the balance looks healthy. Without this it would be below £1000 which
would have meant a difficult 2007/08 season.
As the Awards for all Money is already allocated need to get the £1500
from the Senior Committee to run the normal expenditure. RW to request
transfer to the Junior committee latest October 07.
Inter Club- All matches played 112 in total Well done RON!
Radlett to play Harpenden in U11 final.
Do we have enough Girls to consider a girls league? It was felt the
standards could be too wide apart and a Graded Tournament would be more
suited.
For 07/08 it was felt that 2 matches per afternoon was enough unless a
challenge match or friendly was pre-arranged amongst the managers. It is
likely that EVERY CLUB will travel for just one match but again it would
be down to the team managers to arrange extra games if they felt it
necessary.
Applications for 07/08 have been sent out and should be returned by Mid
August. For 07/08 we would try and finish all games by the end of April.
Grand Prix: These proved successful so will be continued for 07/08.
Some points were made as players often turned up only to play people from
the same club. The groups should be arranged so that a maxim of two people
from any one club are in the same league (if possible).
The ideal number is 20. Too many and it goes on too long too few and not
enough variety.
County Closed
U9/U11 at Radlett 15th Sept.
U17/U13 at Cannons 22nd/23rd September Ron Worrell to book.
U19/U15 at Berkhampsted 29th/30th Sept. Simon Andrew has confimed.
Ron Palmer expressed that he was not happy that Gosling was not being used

year Berkhampsted held the event very successfully and the costs were
less.

will be the coordinator.
2007/08 Committee
Dudley Fuller will be leaving the committee and expressed his views that
the committee was in good shape and as a founder of the committee
advised how far we have come from the days when one person tried to do
everything. A thanks goes out to Dudley for his efforts over the past 9
years and the committee welcomes Adam Fuller as a committee member who
when we started was playing in the U13 event!
